Die OSB-Serie untersucht das Spannungsverhältnis von Chaos und Ordnung anhand eines industriellen Werkstoffs. Ausgangspunkt ist die chaotische Textur der OSB-Platte, aus der einzelne Inseln von Ordnung herausgearbeitet werden.
Die Kompositionen entstehen direkt aus dem Material heraus – durch mehrschichtiges Verspachteln, Schleifen und anschließendem Malen. Der Arbeitsprozess ist dabei offen und suchend angelegt – Entscheidungen entstehen aus dem Dialog mit dem Material, nicht aus einem vorab festgelegten System. Ziel ist es, Bildzustände zu schaffen, die genau auf der Grenze zwischen Ordnung und Chaos stehen.
The OSB series explores the tension between chaos and order using an industrial material. The starting point is the chaotic texture of the OSB board, from which individual islands of order are carved out.The compositions arise directly from the material – through multi-layered filling, sanding and subsequent painting. The working process is open and exploratory – decisions arise from a dialogue with the material, not from a predetermined system. The aim is to create images that stand precisely on the border between order and chaos.
